According to the industry research, that identified only 41% employees are generally performing and the organizational focus is to increase this percentage because the employees’ performances directly impact towards the growth and sustainability of the organizations.

Performance management is one of the critical areas towards the success of the organizations and the well reputed organizations always follows different criteria and principles to manage the performances of the employees and some organizations always struggles to survive under the poor focusing on the performance management strategies (Megan, 2023). Below identifies how the performance principles are implemented within the organizational environments and how these principles are increasing the performances towards the growth and long-term sustainability of the organizations, through the performance management principles, organizations directly involve to give directions, increase the collaborations, provide the self-learning culture, grant the recognitions with different rewards, following the immediate emergent strategies and many other involvements to keep the organizational performances well and below elaborated each principle well with more related details.


Clear goals and objectives

Reputed organizations always give their direction towards the different goals and objectives and their focusing is always for the achievement of set goals and objectives. Organizational long-term goals and objectives are strategic goals such as vision & mission and the short-term goals are limited for each financial year achievements and under these employees are provided individual goals and objectives within a defined period to drive the organization towards the achievement of long-term goals and objectives. With the clear goals and objectives, organizations can clearly evaluate each employee performance to manage the performance management tactics well (Sreyashi, 2022).


Providing ongoing and regular feedback

Successful managers frequently collaborate with their subordinates providing ongoing and regular feedbacks regarding their performance, following this, managers directly appreciate for all the positive things of the employees and advise for all the misbehaviors to keep their subordinates in the correct track. When providing regular feedbacks, organizations can effectively manage the organizational performances minimizing all the possible problems and errors.

Performance management cannot effectively do with one KPI because this is a broader concept and need to evaluate the performances setting various types of KPIs as the employees have different types of skills and when giving the focus for broader factors that is an effective factor to mitigate the blind spots within the performance management (Ameen, 2021).

Following this strategy leaders are motivating the employees to seek the opportunities in the market and utilize them to increase their performance level rather than guiding them as parent – child dynamic. With this strategy, employees are having the opportunities to increase their skills learning from the market and each other rather than depending on the leaders always.

 Ø Recognitions and rewards based on the performance

Under the performance management concept, recognitions and the rewards are most important elements because the most performing employees must need recognize and requires to provide the different rewards based on the performance to increase their further involvements towards the organization and for the achievement of goals and objectives continues manner. As the recognitions and rewards, employees are needed to provide incentives, bonuses, promotions, salary increments and other different perks (Robert, 2023).

 Ø  Address performance issues promptly

When following the effective performance management principles, organizations must need to immediately address regarding the poor performance related things without wait until the end of the finance year, when following these types of tactics organizations effectively can drive them towards the achievement of goals and objectives.

 When the employees are under performing, organizations give their attention to provide the training sessions, follow the change management strategies, coaching and many of the involvements to mitigate the prevailing issues

Above analysis shows performance management is a broader concept and highly important for the organizations to following in order to keep their performances well, to become success under the performance management, organizations must need to follow most of the important principle of the performance management under the different strategic directions.

However, Aravinda most important thing should be training and development. Without training and development, it is impossible to achieve those goals. Do you agree with me? Training and development is important for employees to succeed in their roles, increase productivity, and improve performance. Training and development also help employers identify high potential employees, provide a succession plan for them, and ultimately help organizations stay in the competitive market.
